THE OPERATIONAL VALUE OF THE PARTNERSHIPS
A valuable variety does not solely originate from genetic improvement programmes but grows and is enhanced through the experience of those who multiply, cultivate and bring it to market.
For this reason, partnerships with the different stakeholders in the supply chain are a fundamental part of our work. We believe that varietal innovation is not only the result of research activity, but of a shared journey involving all the partners in our network.
We grant licences for our cultivars to selected professional nurserymen, who propagate them in accordance with rigorous quality standards and distribute them to growers across different areas. In this way, we ensure that the plant material maintains the genetic and quality characteristics that distinguish our selections.
Our contribution goes beyond research: we provide technical support, data collected during experimental trials and information on the performances of the varieties under different soil and climate conditions, so that every partner is able to maximize their potential.
NSG Network is our supply chain project, a networking space that brings together all the key players involved in our genetic improvement programme. It is not merely a collaborative network, but a system of relationships that fosters dialogue between research, production and the market.
Through ongoing interactions with our partners, we gather observations, data and experiences from different areas and production contexts. This is a valuable resource that adds depth to our work and enriches every stage of the variety selection process.
The knowledge acquired in the field thus becomes a fundamental part of our research programme, guiding it and enabling us to understand the evolving production and commercial requirements with greater insight.
