Graduated in Agricultural Sciences at the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna and agronomist, she has always been involved in communication and writing, first technical and then with practical slant, but always in publications specialized in food and agrifood. Journalist since 2009, she has been director of myfruit.it since 2020.

CARMELA SURIANO - Director of Nova Siri Genetics

Carmela Suriano is the director of Nova Siri Genetics, a company based in Lucania that carries out research and experimental activity of new strawberries and berries varieties. In 1989, she entered the strawberry and berries nursery sector and in 2013 she is one of the founders, as well as President until 2019, of the Candonga Club, a producers' consortium for the valorization of the strawberry variety Sabrosa produced in Basilicata. Since 2014, she has also been CEO of the Compagnia delle primizie cooperative and since 2016 President of the PO Terre della luce. Her professional path has always been focused on one goal: bringing innovation to a sector with so much potential such as that of strawberries and berries, starting from breeding up to the fruit.

Thomas Drahorad - President of NCX Drahorad

Thomas Drahorad, President of NCX Drahorad, has been operating in the international fruit and vegetable trade since 1990 and has been active in the berries trade for over 15 years. He is the creator and organizer of the Mirtillo Business Day (2019), the first Italian event with a focus on blueberries, of Italian Berry Day, the first Italian supply chain event on berries (2021) and of the International Blueberry Days (2023), the three-day event dedicated to blueberries. He is editor-in-chief of Italian Berry, the online magazine specialized in the supply chain berries in Italy that offers professionals news, data, information and prices on production and distribution, with a special focus on innovation and global trends.

Francesco Mattina - President of CPVO

Francesco Mattina is a lawyer specializing in European Union law and intellectual property law. He joined the Community Plant Varieties Office (CPVO) in 2013 after gaining international experience in private law firms as a partner and in the EU public sector as a senior legal advisor in industrial property at the European Union Intellectual Property Agency (EUIPO). He has been president of CPVO since 2022; previously, within the Agency he held the role of Head of Legal Unit and Vice-President.

CLAUDIO SCALISE – Managing Partner of SGMarketing

Former General Director of Covoer, Consortium for the valorization of fruit and vegetables in Emilia-Romagna. In 1994, he founded SGMARKETING AGROALIMENTARE SRL, a leading food & beverage marketing company in Italy, of which he is Sole Director. In 2018, he founded SGPROJECT srl, a company for the implementation of EU projects for the development of agrifood and wine consumption on international markets of which he is Sole Director. Expert in marketing and valorization of agrifood products, author of articles in Italian and international journals on sector topics, speaker at numerous international conferences.
